Corporate Wellbeing for the Digital Workplace

Do

We've got a new approach for 2016, with a fabulous range of new programmes that can sit inside a digital Corporate Wellbeing Portal.

January 14th 2016

For the first time in 2015, Google reported that mobile search outstripped desktop search – 52% to 48% (1). Facebook now has a bigger population than China.

In the Corporate workplace, we all rely more and more on our mobiles. We live in an fully joined-up but less physically connected workplace. It therefore makes sense to deliver wellbeing interventions within the digital space.

Stress – the biggest cause of sickness
Work stress continues to be one of the most significant health issues facing people in the workplace. In the UK, government statistics  suggest that stress is now the single biggest cause of sickness, with 105 million days lost to stress each year – costing UK employers £1.24 billion (2). Since 2009 the number of sick days lost to stress, depression and anxiety has increased by 24%.

Stress is a symptom that can be caused by any number of issues. The difficulty of managing relationships at work, for example. The ability to bounce back from setbacks (resilience) or the constant friction of trying to balance work and home life.

How can we address these kinds of issues for a digital generation of workers who are short on time (and attention span) but desperate to do something towards reducing their stress levels and improving their health and work satisfaction?

Reducing stress with digital programmes
At Do Something Different, we provide digital Corporate Wellbeing and Personal Development programmes delivered to mobile.

What we’ve found over the last year, is that participants on our Corporate programmes report significant reductions in stress (White Paper coming soon – watch this space). And this is regardless of the focus of the programme, which might be about improving agility or working more collaboratively.

Why is this?

  • Do Something Different programmes deliver micro behaviours that help people to implement change in small do-able steps
  • With each successful action, confidence and a sense of satisfaction grows
  • Over 3 weeks, the programmes help people to expand their habits and behaviours, putting them more in control and reducing stress

Introducing the Digital Wellbeing Portal – new for 2016
This year, we are offering our Corporate programmes together in a Digital Wellbeing Portal. You can choose to offer up to six programmes from a broad range including personal development issues like Resilience, Agility, Work Life Balance and Leadership, as well as more direct health-related subjects like Happiness or Healthy Living (see below for the full listing).

If you are looking to target stress, wellbeing or everyday health issues in your organisation in 2016, why not engage in a place your employees feel most comfortable. On their phones.

Do Something Different Corporate Wellbeing Portals offer 6 programmes from:
