Life’s a pitch – and it’s great when you win!

Do Something Different has won a place in the Times and Sunday Times Ready Business Mentor scheme at a Dragon's-Den style pitch in London.

October 28th 2015

An exciting award-winning week at Do Towers was capped with another win – this time at the Ready Business Mentor scheme  run by the Times and Sunday Times in London.

Ray and Chandni were asked to bring along a one-minute video about what the company has been up to, before undergoing an intense grilling from the judging panel.

The judges included Sophie Cornish, founder of notonthehighstreet.com, The Times business editor Richard Fletcher, Vodafone’s head of SME Jonathan Kini and business psychologist Tony Crabbe.

The prize, mentoring from Sophie Cornish, will help us to continue to develop and market our range of online personal programmes.

Five companies were declared winners from numerous entries. Sophie, commenting at the end of the day, said:

“Every single one had the same infectious passion and real love for their own business. I think mentoring is all about bringing out that passion and commitment and turning it into something. We got a really great mix of different kinds of businesses, all at different stages and with different missions – all worthwhile and as important as each other.”
